Phoenix Chemtech
Phoenix Chemtech is promoted by R.K.Iyer and Prasad
Giri Mangal, who have successfully established and
managed Centrum Metallics Pvt Ltd., a company engaged
in the manufacture of organo phosphites and additives
for the surface coating and polymer industries.
OBJECTIVES
Phoenix Chemtech is a company whose main objective
is to offer its in-house skills, in manpower and its
excellent laboratory and pilot plant facilities to
chemical industries and industry professionals. The
main services offered to these industries will be
in the areas of custom synthesis, contract research
and development projects. Phoenix Chemtech can offer
the following type of services :

development management.

survey and literature survey compilation.

synthesis and supply of chemicals upto kilogram
level quantities.
THE
PEOPLE
The main resources of Phoenix Chemtech, are its people.
The company has the services of three doctorates,
who are highly specialized in the field of synthetic
organic chemistry. Their combined industrial and research
experience is over eighty years. They have their experience
in agrochemicals, polymers, chemicals for textiles,
pharmaceuticals and chiral chemicals.
They guide a team of four highly skilled and motivated
graduate chemists, who have adequate experience in
carrying out various laboratory functions, with good
understanding of the experiment on hand. Our chemists
also possess, the training and skills for working
at the pilot plant level.

(ANALYTICAL FACILITIES)
The
following facilities are available with us:
- HPLC--
with integrator for analysis of all organic products
including polymers (Molecular Weight etc).
- GLC--
Shimadzu gas chromatograph
- IR/FTIR
- TLC
- UV/VIS
spectrophotometer

- Corrosion
testing equipments.
- Other
basic equipments such as melting point apparatus,
Refractometer, Ford Cup, pH meter, Lab Drying Oven,
Balance, glassware for analysis etc.
For
the use of facilities such as NMR or mass spectra,
we will use the instruments at Indian Institute of
Technology (IIT) or University Institute of Chemical
Technology (UICT).Both these institutes are about
30 minutes drive from our laboratory and pilot plant.

plant in the area.

The pilot plant area is 3000 square feet and we
have an open area of 5000 square feet.
We
have the ability to fabricate at a short notice, glass
reaction systems and apparatus, to meet project requirements.
